iRobot Vacuum and Mop Review
Unlike some robot vacuums, this one isn't afraid to take on the stairs. However, just like all vacuums and mops, it can get clogged by stray tennis shoes ribbons, beads or yarn, play jewelry or other stray objects.
You can make use of the iRobot Home app to label rooms and create zones that are not allowed to enter. You can also track the performance of your mops as well as their battery status.
iRobot Combo j7+
The Combo J7+ is part of iRobot's mop and robot vacuum lineup that combines the robot cleaner's smart mapping capabilities and its ability to handle spills. The robot backed away when it saw a rug and didn't try to cross it, even when I moved the rug around several times.
The arm is equipped with a 240mL tank, which can be easily removed and refilled. This makes it much easier to use than the mop pads on other 2-in-1 robotic arms. It is equipped with iRobot PrevisionVision technology to avoid obstacles, which is more advanced than other systems of this type.
iRobot Combo i5
This multi-tasker is designed to mop and vacuum with one machine. Its vacuuming is done with a specially designed bin that can hold up to 60 days' worth of debris and iRobot claims reduces the amount of dust released into the air during the process. The i5+ comes with dual multi-surface rubber brushes and Power-Lifting suction that can tackle dirt and dust hair, pet hair, and stains. When it's time to mop, just swap the Mopping Bin and a compatible cleaning solution.
The i5+ uses iRobot OS which means that it gets smarter as you use it. It creates a Smart Map, which remembers the names of rooms as well as your cleaning preferences. The iRobot App allows you to create a schedule or instruct the robot to clean a certain room.
iRobot is able to recognize household clutter like bags, shoes, cords and toys. With the iRobot app you can schedule your home's cleanings and control your robot from any location.
iRobot Combo i3
The iRobot Combo i3 is an upgraded version of the original Roomba i3. It still comes with a HEPA-filter to trap allergens and the same fantastic dust compartment that is outside, but it now supports smart mapping. This means you can set up no-go zones to stop it from vacuuming those areas again. The i3 Plus still has a variety of other fantastic features too like its advanced cleaning system with 10x power-lifting suction and three-stage cleaning process. It comes with a textured surface to keep dust, pet hair and fingerprints away.
It cleans most debris and performs well on unfinished flooring, but did experience problems with pet hair when used on low-pile carpets. It does a fantastic job with high pile carpets though and is much quieter than the other models. The i3 is a little more expensive than the Roborock S4 Max but it comes with a self-emptying system that empties the dirtbag, refills its water reservoir and cleans its mop pads.
With the i3 app you can create schedules for cleaning at a specific time to suit your needs. You can also make use of your voice assistant to control your robot and start or stop the cleaning. It also monitors the unique floor plan of your home to offer personalized scheduling and cleaning habits. It uses state-of-the-art sensors for mapping to navigate hardwood and carpet and also learns your routine to improve performance.
iRobot Combo i2
The Combo i2 is the latest robot vacuum and mop from iRobot. It incorporates iRobot's intelligent floor cleaning technology to make it a great choice for homes with hard flooring as well as rugs or carpets.
